I covered Michigan’s House of Representatives and Department of Corrections. I also formerly covered nearly all of Michigan’s state departments and Congressional delegation prior to moving to state House coverage.
While working for Gongwer, I also kickstart the company’s current social media presentation beginning in late 2019 on Twitter until a full-time individual took over for me in early 2021. Under my tenure, I garnered Gongwer a near 2 percent engagement rate on its Twitter account, oversaw an ad campaign to attract new subscribers and grew our following.

I spent much of my time here covering cybersecurity, breaking news and technology working on their daily news letters and reporting on and from Capitol Hill on policy news. I also assist behind the scenes with data reporting, most recently working with on crunching redaction statistics related to the Mueller Report.
